Taxes will be prepared at the Missoula Senior Center (705 S Higgins) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:15 am until 3:30 pm, Fridays from 9:15 am until 1:00 pm and some Saturdays from 10:15 am until 2:00 pm. To make an appointment, please see the information below.
Status for 2023
We have more tax counselors and slots available for tax prep this year so we believe, as the season goes on, we will be able to serve the majority of the people who need our help.
Missoula will be preparing taxes using the drop-off method. What this means to you is that after your paperwork is complete, you will have an interview with a tax counselor. Your documentation will be left with that tax counselor for tax prep and a quality review. The counselor will be able to tell you approximately when your taxes will be complete. Expect it to be within an hour or two.
mAKING AN aPPOINTMENT
Walk-ins are not accepted, you must make an appointment.
To make an appointment please call 406-285-1715. The message will tell you when she will next be accepting calls.
There is ONE person answering the phone, so please be patient and call back later on if you cannot get through. Repeated dialing only jams up the lines.
Appointments will be released in blocks, a few weeks at a time.
Preparing for your appointment
You may stop by the Senior Center and pick up your required documentation prior to your appointment, OR
You may come by early and fill everything out before your appointed time.
You will not be seen by a counselor until your paperwork is complete.
Make sure to bring all of your tax documents at that time.
